The National council for construction says it is promoting Inclusive Economic Transformation
through teaching people how to taste their own construction materials and also
to use local construction materials.
Speaking in an interview NCC Public Relations
Officer, Chama Mwansa said sourcing locally
construction materials not only contributes to green manufacturing, but
ultimately helps build consumer confidence.
She noted that sustainable
construction reduces waste by reusing or re- purposing existing materials in new
projects.
She added that local material can
also reduce wasted resources through improved water management.
“We just don’t want the big companies to penetrate
the international market but also small companies should also penetrate the
market, we want to make sure there is an increased market on the international,
“He said
He said ZCSA is concerned on matters of public
safety and health to the consumers by making sure that consumers are protected
once they buy the products.
And Zambia Development Agency ZDA it
facilitates for “Inclusive Economic Transformation” by promoting economic growth
and development for all players in business.
Speaking in an interview ZDA Head Communications
Kwali Mfune said the Agency services businesses of all sizes, including small
and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), large investors and exporters.
The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA)
disclosed that it has recorded 173 investment ventures in the first half of
2023 with an investment value of US$ 14.5 billion compared to156 investment
ventures recorded in the same period in 2022 with an investment of US$ 1.3
billion. This represents an increase of 1,015.4 percent.
In the Lima and Young Farmers Halls,
the farmers from different province canters exhibited different produce
including maize, cassava and beans despite some part of the country being hit
by droughts that did not stop the farmers from competing for national and
individual awards
The Show was able to accommodate
everyone including the hawkers and peddlers who displayed various commodities
and attracted huge crowds because of the various discounts being offered as well
as overpriced merchandise.
The arena between the COMESA
Village and sports complexes on the eastern wings of the show grounds
accommodated makeshift stores, occupied by horde of micro-traders dealing in
all sorts of merchandise from toys to cloths and traditional medicines.
Show goers were treated to
traditional dances showcasing Zambia’s rich cultures and there were music from
local musicians such macky 2, yo maps,Chanda na kay,towera,Xaven and many others
The show was spiced up by mass
movement from majorettes, army displays, ZNS calisthenics and military bands.
