CHONGWE DISTRICT HOSPITAL RECORDS A TOTAL OF 14 CHRISTMAS BABIES










Health Minister Sylvia Masebo who is also Chongwe Member of Parliament this afternoon gave Christmas gifts to 14 Christmas babies at Chongwe District hospital.

Touring the maternity Ward this afternoon, Chongwe District Hospital Maternity Ward Nurse Incharge, Barbra Mumba, diclosed that the institution has recorded a total of 14 Chrimas babies.

Mrs. Mumba told the minister in company of Chongwe District Commissioner, Dr. Evance Lupiya and Chongwe District Health Director, Dr. Mweene Nseluke, a total of 14 babies of 10 Females and 4 Males have been recorded.

She disclosed that the first Christmas baby was a male who was delivered at midnight and amoung the babies delivered were female twins.

And Honorable Masebo expressed happiness that the hospital has recorded more number of females and urged mothers to extremely take good care of the children.

The Minister who arrived at the Hospital after 14:00 hours , disclosed that Chongwe has recorded high numbers of Christmas baby out of all the facilities she visited today and was grateful to present the Christmas Gifts to the newly born babies.
