ZAMBIA RECORDS INCREASED CHINESE INVESTMENT

Government says Zambia has recorded US$7.8 billion dollars worth of investment from China in different sectors of the economy over the last 5 years.

Minister of Technology and Science Felix Mutati says this is a demonstration of the good relationship that Zambia enjoys with China.

Speaking when he officiated at the Chinese Chambers of Commerce in Zambia Gala Diner last night, Mr. Mutati assured the private sector that the UPND New Dawn Government is committed to facilitating market access and overcoming challenges that impide easy access to opportunities.

"As at 2022, the Chinese and Zambian two-way trade has continued to register upward growth reaching a record of US$6.73 billion dollars," Mr. Mutati said.

The UPND Party Manifesto seeks to ensure that bilateral trade, economic and technical cooperation becomes the hallmark of Zambia's foreign policy.
