Plan International Zambia has supported Chibombo District Heath Office with assorted disinfectants and Personal Protective Equipment to intensify the fight against Cholera.
Plan International Central Programme Area manger Margret Nakamba elaborates that the organization remains committed to ensuring the safety and well being of children and their community.
Mrs Nakamba also revealed that a total of 5 Hundred and 50 Thousand Kwacha has been mobilized to support District Health Offices in the province.
And Chibombo District Health Director Hendrix Yona says the donated items will contribute greatly to the fight against cholera in the district after it was declared a hotspot.
Mr Hednrix further explains that the office will conduct door to door distribution of chlorin to combat the disease.
Speaking at the same event, Chibombo Town Council Chairperson Newton Nyeleti has applauded the organization for the donation and has called for continued collaboration.
Some donated items include 10 Sprayers, 30 pairs of gum boots, 100 boxes of hand sanitizer and 50 boxes of liquid chlorine among others.
