Minister of Youth, Sports and Arts Elvis Nkandu has commended the collaboration between African Sports and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts towards the footballer legends game .
In a speech ready on his behalf by Permanent secretary in the ministry of Sports Kangwa Chileshe, Nkandu urged Zambian supporters to come and watch the game in numbers and support the chipolopolo legends as they will be playing this Saturday on 2 December 2023.
He said the funds raised from the match to be held this Saturday, December 2 will go towards youth empowerment programmes.
He welcomed the legends to Zambia saying that he hopes that their arrival will evoke fond memories of their playing days.
Meanwhile an agreement has been reached between Kings of Africa Sports and Football Association of Zambia for the Chipolopolo legends to wear Kopa jersey on Saturday during the match.
Upon arrival, the African legends held a press briefing at the airport where with the likes of Mark Anthony Fish, Peter Ndlovu, Siphiwe Shabalala, Lucas Radebe,Kalusha Bwalya and Anthony Baffoe in attendance.
Others who have already arrived include, Emmanuel Adebayor and El Haji Diouf.
