*NACOSU MOURN MARGARET and MAXIMO



 The National Council of Students Union - NACOSU has extended its deepest condolences to the  student body of the University of Zambia great east main campus  on the untimely demise of two exceptional students namely; Margaret Chibesakunda (Third year) and Maximo Mwansa ( Fourth year).

NACOSU Student Unions Michelo Chizombe said the council stand by them during this immensely difficult time.

He said the loss of fellow students is truly devastating, representing a void that cannot be filled easily.

" We mourn this tragic incident and the irreplaceable lives that have been taken from us. It is a reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of cherishing and supporting each other, especially in times of grief."He said.

Mr Chizombe said Margaret Chibesakunda  and Maximo Mwansa , both played integral roles in the student community. 

"Margaret Chibesakunda was known for her vibrant personality, infectious spirit, and unwavering dedication to academic excellence as described by the close friends. She was an inspiration to us all. Her loss leaves an indelible mark on our hearts and collective memory.

Similarly, Maximo Mwansa  will be remembered fondly for his compassion, leadership qualities, and significant contributions to various student activities as described by UNZA STUDENTS. His absence will be profoundly felt as we navigate through future endeavors. We honor their legacies and the profound impact they made on us all," He noted

He said during this difficult period, it is crucial that they all  come together as a close-knit community to support one another. 

He has encouraged them to reach out to their peers, friends, or faculty members for solace, strength, and consolation.

" We must lean on each other for support, offering a compassionate ear, and extending a helping hand to those in need.The National Council of Students Union pledges its unwavering support to the student body of the University of Zambia and the families of Margaret Chibesakunda and Maximo Mwansa. We are ready to assist in any way possible, be it organizing memorial events in honor of our departed friends or providing avenues for grief counseling and mental health support. Your well-being is of utmost importance to us" Mr Chizombe noted.

"Let us come together to remember, celebrate, and honor the lives of Margaret and Maximo. Their contributions to our community shall forever be etched in our collective memory and inspire future generations of students.

We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones", Mr Chizombe added.
